Your Responsibilities
- You’ll work reliable shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the communal dining area of the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Senior Center in Strausberg.
- Together with your team of 10 colleagues, you’ll ensure that our residents and external guests are well taken care of every day.
- Your responsibilities include preparing the meals on offer and ensuring their presentation, serving, sale, and delivery.
- You will support the kitchen team in their day-to-day operations and help plan buffets and catering services.
- You will always keep occupational safety and HACCP guidelines in mind and consistently implement them.
- You work cost-consciously, ensure that goods are received and stored in accordance with regulations, and handle the necessary documentation.
Your Profile
- You have completed an apprenticeship as a chef and ideally have experience in institutional food service or the restaurant industry.
- You work reliably, with a focus on quality and service —even within the structured daily routine of a kitchen.
- When interacting with people —whether seniors, children, or people with disabilities—you treat others with empathy and respect.
- Ideally, you hold a Class B driver’s license to travel to other locations.
- You share our Christian view of humanity and our mission statement , and you embody them in your daily work.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer Senior Center
The Dietrich Bonhoeffer Senior Center is located near the center of Strausberg in spacious garden grounds. Additionally, the Straussee lake and a variety of shopping options are just a few minutes’ walk away. We are fully integrated into community life; the annual Stephanus Festival is one of the highlights and a cherished tradition in Strausberg.
