Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- Responsible for developing and managing wine service, storage, and ordering in all F&B outlets
- Maintaining and helping to design the wine and champagne lists
- Creating wine recommendations for the menus in all F&B outlets and briefing the wine stewards
- Conducting and facilitating all wine tastings on board
- Implementing sales promotion measures to achieve the sales targets of the F&B outlets
- Contract duration for your first assignment: 5–6 months; subsequent contracts are possible
- Your start date will be based on your availability in conjunction with the on-board staffing schedule and is generally possible year-round.
Your Course & Your Talents
What you bring to the table:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., sommelier certification, training as a winemaker, restaurant professional, or similar) or experience as a sommelier, wine server, or similar.
- Comprehensive expertise in wines and the regions where various grape varieties are grown
- Extensive knowledge of pairing beverages with food (food pairing)
- Strong service orientation
- Good computer skills (use of the point-of-sale system, cost calculations, placing orders)
- Very good command of German and English
