Variety guaranteed! We’re looking for someone to join our team who can confidently handle all kitchen duties. Your responsibilities will include creating picking lists, checking tray layouts, serving lunch, and portioning and plating meals. In addition, you’ll perform temperature checks, inspect inventory in the cold storage rooms, prepare retention samples, and oversee shift handoffs. You’ll also independently place orders with all suppliers and receive, inspect, and put away delivered goods.
Central Point of Contact & Organization: You are the first point of contact for patients as well as other professionals (nursing staff, therapists, nutritionists). You also create and modify duty schedules and represent the kitchen management at meetings and appointments.
More predictable work schedules than in the restaurant industry due to fixed meal times in a hospital setting (willingness to work rotating shifts required);
