Odenwald Tourismus GmbH is the marketing and management organization of the Bergstrasse-Odenwald destination with 4 administrative districts and 29 towns and municipalities. The aim of Odenwald Tourismus GmbH is to jointly position the Bergstrasse-Odenwald destination on the tourism market and to further develop it as a hiking and cycling region, as well as in the area of cultural tourism and local recreation.
The head office of Odenwald Tourismus GmbH is in Michelstadt. In addition to the office in Michelstadt, Odenwald Tourismus GmbH also operates the Bavarian Odenwald tourist information office in Amorbach.
Your tasks
Personnel, organizational and economic management of the GmbH
Concept and product development with impulses for tourism development
Expansion of internal marketing and networking with tourism stakeholders
Marketing and media planning, coordination of measures
Strategic development and implementation of a modern social media presence
Press and public relations work, participation in tourism bodies and committees, external representation of the GmbH
Acquisition of funding and sponsorship, cooperation with the Odenwald, Main4Eck and Darmstadt-Dieburg Leader regions
Planning and implementation of events
Close cooperation with districts, towns, municipalities, institutions and authorities
Organization of the office and the Bavarian Odenwald visitor information centre
Personnel management and professional guidance of employees, interns and students
Your qualifications
* A successfully completed technical or university degree
(Bachelor’s degree or Diplom-Ingenieur FH) in the field of tourism,
Economics or other relevant disciplines or
comparable professional qualification with several years
Professional experience in the field of tourism
* Experience in destination management and marketing
* Experience in press and public relations, especially in the field of social media

* Business management skills (accounting, controlling)
* Assertiveness, commitment and leadership skills
* Strong communication and presentation skills, winning manner,
strong negotiating skills
* Class B driving license
* English language skills
