Perhaps you have already worked on board a cruise ship? Then you know that as an employee in the Procurement department at sea chefs you can expect not only a varied job – you will also be immersed (again) in the world of seafaring!
- Operational purchasing and logistics: supplying the cruise ships (river and/or ocean) in close cooperation with those responsible in the team and on board.
- Supplier management: Carrying out tenders, selecting suitable suppliers and awarding contracts.
- Product selection and innovation: selecting new products, introducing innovations and ensuring high quality standards.
- Order and invoice management: Checking and initiating ship orders, checking invoices and purchasing controlling.
- Quality assurance: monitoring and ensuring product and service quality.
- Thematic work: support and cooperation in cross-divisional tasks and initiatives in purchasing and logistics.
Your course & your talents
What you bring with you:
- Completed gastronomic or commercial training.
- Professional experience, ideally in F&B purchasing and/or procurement.
- Experience on board cruise ships is an advantage.
- Understanding of economic targets and compliance with them.
- Independent and structured way of working.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Assertiveness and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work under pressure, reliability and integrity.
- Confident handling of MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Good written and spoken German and English.
- Good general knowledge and confident manners.
