Our client is a medium-sized trading company that has been operating successfully for many decades and offers its members and customers a high-quality range of goods and services in the meat industry.
As part of the team expansion in Purchasing, we are looking for a full-time Non-Food Wholesale Buyer (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

How can you help us?
- Strategic determination of the needs of the affiliated companies including volume bundling
- Negotiation and implementation of prices, conditions and further agreements
- Ongoing review of the competitiveness of existing suppliers and product ranges
- Strategic development of the merchandise business
- Ensuring the availability of goods and managing deadlines and quantities
- Interface management between logistics, quality assurance, sales, marketing and controlling
Your profile
- Completed studies or commercial training with a focus on purchasing, retail or food management, preferably a commercial specialist, business economist or Bachelor of Arts
- Several years of professional experience in purchasing non-food products in wholesale.
- Existing supplier network at home and abroad
- Sound knowledge of the product groups butchery supplies (packaging, spices, auxiliary materials, natural and artificial casings), machines and equipment for food production and preparation.
- Very good understanding of wholesale, volume models and logistics processes
- Confident handling of ERP and merchandise management systems as well as MS Office
- Business fluent in German and English, good feeling for languages
- Strong negotiating skills and assertiveness
- Strong understanding of costs, quantities and processes
- Analytical, structured and strategic way of thinking
- Independent, responsible way of working
- Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a dynamic trading environment
- Willingness to travel
