Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- In this role, you’ll be a decision-maker responsible for the entire galley area and will report to the Hotel Manager.
- You’ll be in charge of up to 7 restaurants on board and will be responsible for planning and developing the menus.
- You’ll be in charge of managing the galley department, which includes up to 70 crew members, and creating the duty roster.
- You will lead your team both professionally and disciplinarily, fostering an open culture of feedback and harmonious working relationships.
- As the point of contact for the galley department, you’ll regularly be present for both crew and guests.
- You are always open to questions, suggestions, and feedback from guests.
- Term of your first contract: 3–6 months (or as mutually agreed upon)
Your Course & Your Talents
We’re looking for the best: you! Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:
- Completed culinary training (w⁠/⁠m⁠/⁠d) as well as professional experience in a leadership role in upscale dining and/or aboard a cruise ship
- Excellent expertise in the culinary arts and food science, which you’re eager to share with your team.
- You’re reliable and resilient, and you’re comfortable thinking outside the box.
- A leader with the ability to guide and motivate a team both professionally and in terms of discipline
- A well-groomed appearance and excellent manners
- Very good command of German and English
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
