Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- In this role, you’ll be a decision-maker and responsible for the entire pastry department, reporting to the Chef de Cuisine.
- You’ll be responsible for preparing all desserts in the three restaurants on board.
- With your original creations on the dessert menu, you’ll serve guests exclusive culinary experiences on various occasions.
- You will lead your team both professionally and in disciplinary matters, fostering an open culture of feedback and harmonious working relationships.
- As the point of contact for the pastry department, you’ll regularly be present for both the crew and guests.
- Contract duration for your first contract: 4–6 months (subject to individual agreement)
Your Course & Your Talents
What you bring to the table:
- Completed training as a chef, pastry chef, or similar, as well as several years of experience managing a pastry department
- Additional qualifications (such as sugar pulling or creating display pieces) are a plus
- Excellent expertise in the culinary arts and food science, which you’re eager to share with your team.
- You are reliable and resilient, and you’re comfortable thinking outside the box.
- A natural leader with the ability to guide and motivate a team both professionally and in terms of discipline
- A well-groomed appearance and excellent manners
- Very good command of German and English
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
