Your job
This is what you can expect on your journey with us:
- On board the expedition fleet, this position is a combination of crew and Chief Purser.
- Decision maker and overall responsible for the smooth running of reception and administration and report to the Hotel Manager
- Responsible for Ship’s Clearance, Ship’s Cashbook, Guest/Crew Accounting, Guest/Crew Data, Reception (Front & Back Office)
- During the presence at the reception, contact person for guest concerns and feedback
- First point of contact for the crew in case of questions, problems or complaints, e.g. during the crew hour
- Management, coordination and motivation of your team of up to 10 crew members
- Duration of your 1st contract: 4 – 6 months (also by individual arrangement)
Your course & your talents
We are looking for the best: you! This is what you bring on board:
- Completed training in the hotel industry or in the commercial sector
- Several years of experience in the reception or personnel area, as well as experience on board a cruise ship, management experience
- You are reliable, able to work under pressure and have no problem remaining calm even in stressful situations.
- Leadership personality with the ability to lead your team professionally and disciplinary
- A high degree of empathy and an open ear for the crew
- Very good IT skills
- Very good German and good English skills
