AGR Abfallentsorgungs-Gesellschaft Ruhrgebiet mbH (AGR) has been operating the RZR Herten waste-to-energy plant since 1982. Using the energy generated there, the waste-to-energy plant supplies enough electricity annually to power the equivalent of over 50,000 households. It also provides 25,000 households with climate-friendly heat. AGR employs approximately 950 people in the business areas of thermal treatment, landfill management, waste logistics & recycling, and energy generation. Here’s what you’ll be doing with us
- Preparing and cooking fresh meals for our employees in accordance with our quality standards
- Assisting the kitchen team with all tasks involved in daily kitchen operations
- Proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable hygiene, quality, and safety regulations in accordance with HACCP
- Tracking food costs and ensuring proper storage of food
- Tidying up workstations and cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and the dishwashing area
- Helping to ensure smooth operations in the commercial kitchen
This means we’re a good fit
- Completed vocational training as a cook (m/f/d)
- Initial professional experience in a commercial kitchen, corporate dining, or the catering industry is desirable
- An independent, organized, and responsible work ethic
- Ability to work well in a team and enjoy collaborating in a collegial environment
- Reliability, flexibility, and a high level of hygiene awareness
- Willingness to learn and motivation to actively contribute to our kitchen team
- A friendly and well-groomed appearance
