Forst Baden-Württemberg (ForstBW) is responsible for 300,000 hectares of state forest in Baden-Württemberg. By managing these forests, ForstBW is the state’s largest natural area manager and forestry company. The principle of sustainability forms the basis of our activities. ForstBW has set itself the goal of working in an exemplary, socially balanced and economically successful manner. Our Forestry Education Center in the Fasanenschloss Karlsruhe is a location and meeting place for the continuing education of the entire forestry community in Baden-Wuerttemberg. We want to be a place for meeting and exchange and operate a small but fine kitchen (approx. 20 – 50 meals per day). Our claim is to enable and promote the meeting and the exchange with a high-quality, regionally and sustainably oriented catering.
That’s why we’re looking for you! Do you enjoy cooking and have a sense for dishes that appeal to many people? Can you manage a (large) kitchen and lead a small team and ideally have already proven this? Do you enjoy preparing game from local forests? Then we would be very happy to meet you!
YOUR TASKS
- Organization of a regional and sustainably oriented kitchen and preparation of meals (especially lunch, snacks, partial breakfast and dinner) at the location Pheasant Castle and sporadically for other locations in the near vicinity
- Preparation of varied menus with regional and sustainable products
- Control and organization of the kitchen according to the hygiene regulations
- Leadership and guidance of currently 3 employees in the team Küche / room maintenance and induction of new employees
- Tight cooperation and efficient communication in the entire team
- Organization and participation in the purchase of goods
- Assistance in cleaning work in the kitchen area

We EXPECT
- A completed apprenticeship as a cook/köchin or housekeeper preferably as a kitchen master or housekeeping manager
- Vocational experience in the kitchen or conference room area and in the service
- self-starting, careful, responsible and team-oriented way of working
- physical resilience, flexibility and high motivation
- friendly and customer-oriented appearance
We OFFER
- A regulated working hours usually until 14:30, rarely work on weekends or in the evening hours

NOTES
- We want to further increase the proportion of women at ForstBW and are therefore particularly interested in applications from women.
