The Catering and Event Services department is responsible for the physical well-being of all patients and employees at Frankfurt University Hospital. We cater for guests in the area of staff catering (casino, cafeteria) and in the area of catering and conference services for internal and external guests.

Your tasks

Monitoring the work processes in the area of responsibility
Preparing the workplace and providing the food and equipment required for the day’s production
Production of meals and side dishes based on the specified production data and the menu plan, taking into account the economical use of the products used for the various delivery points and consumers
Co-designing the patient meal plan and the corresponding recipes
If required, working on the food distribution lines for patient catering
Filling the components required for reorders from external outlets and for the food distribution line
Production according to the cook & chill principle
Other preparations for the following day, tidying up the workplace, supervising the assigned assistants when cleaning the work surfaces, work equipment and machines, e.g. convection ovens, kettles, steamers, etc. in accordance with HACCP

Your qualifications

Completed vocational training as a chef with relevant professional experience in company catering / cook & chill processes
Knowledge of the applicable laws and regulations, e.g. LMHV, HACCP, UVV
Experience in employee management
Physical resilience, ability to work in a team and flexibility
Diligence and conscientiousness, confidentiality about processes to be treated confidentially.
Strong customer orientation, the ability to argue objectively and mediate with customers even in conflict-laden discussions with customers, complaints or other disagreements
Confident handling of Microsoft Office and SAP MM
Good written and spoken German
Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
A valid health certificate
Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required


Collective agreement: Attractive salary according to collective agreement, annual special payment, 38.5 hours/week, 30 days vacation, company pension scheme.
Mobility: Free state ticket for Hesse.
