In the commercial kitchen at St. Hildegard, a team of 18 colleagues prepares 300 meals every day. Together with your colleagues in the kitchen, as a cook, you’ll be responsible for providing meals to residents of the St. Hildegard nursing home, the St. Martin day care center, and the “Meals on Wheels” program.
As the assistant kitchen manager, you’ll play a key role in organizing and managing the kitchen. You’ll work closely with the head chef and take charge in their absence. After all, we all know that a good meal plays a major role in well-being.
You bring the following:
Completed training as a chef or a comparable qualification in the restaurant industry
Professional experience in the kitchen, ideally in a leadership role or as an assistant chef
You have knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Interest in developing and adapting menus, and the ability to incorporate culinary trends
You have a positive demeanor and can create a good atmosphere through effective communication
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
You work responsibly and are a team player
