More than 8,000 children, adolescents and adults live with cystic fibrosis in Germany. Every year, around 150-200 children are born with this incurable hereditary disease.
Mukoviszidose e.V. connects patients, their relatives, doctors, therapists and researchers. In addition to promoting research, therapy support and public relations work, helping people to help themselves is a key focus of its work.
At Haus Schutzengel in Hanover, people with cystic fibrosis and relatives as well as caregivers of severely chronically ill people find a protected place of rest, relief and support in the immediate vicinity of Hanover Medical School.
