The open-air museum Hessenpark presents the settlement history of the state of Hesse on an area of about 60 hectares with more than 100 historical buildings, a variety of interesting events around the rural and small-town everyday life and thus allows a journey through time over the last 400 years. We show cultural-historical special and permanent exhibitions and offer varied events in our annual program. With more than 200,000 visitors annually, Hessenpark is one of the largest open-air museums in Germany. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a full-time employee from 01.03.2024 Employee (m/f/d) for the visitor service area Tasks Contact person for museum guests (Where can I find what? Who can help?) Admission controls, supervision and control of the exhibition buildings and the open-air grounds Handling of events Carrying out care and maintenance work Temporary work in the area of the museum cash desk Assignments during museum opening hours (especially on Sundays and holidays) We would like you to: Willingness to work weekends and holidays completed ideally manual training Interest in working in an open-air museum Ability to approach people with an open mind Ability to work independently, prudently and responsibly, team spirit, resilience and flexibility We offer you a responsible and varied job in our lively museum. The remuneration is based on the provisions of the TV-H with social benefits such as additional pension (VBL) and a special annual payment. The position is initially limited to two years.
