Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- As the head chef’s right-hand person, you’ll be independently responsible for organizing all outlets on board.
- Assisting with creating the duty roster and scheduling the galley crew
- Recording and ordering ingredients in the ship’s inventory management system
- Creating memorable culinary experiences for special occasions
- Serving as the point of contact for the galley and maintaining a regular presence for the crew and guests
- Providing professional and disciplinary guidance to the sous chefs
- Contract duration for your first assignment: 4 months, with the possibility of subsequent contracts
Your Course & Your Talents
What you bring to the table:
- Completed training as a chef (w⁠/⁠m⁠/⁠d), as well as professional experience in a leadership role in upscale dining and/or on a cruise ship (preferred)
- Excellent expertise in the culinary field and food science, which you’re eager to share with your team.
- You are reliable and resilient, and you’re comfortable thinking outside the box.
- A leader with the ability to guide and motivate a team both professionally and in terms of discipline
- A well-groomed appearance and excellent manners
- Very good command of German and English
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
