Housekeeper (m/f/d) / Hauswirtschafter (m/f/d)
Private diplomatic residence in Frankfurt am Main seeks a temporary full-time (up to 48 hours per week) Housekeeper. The Housekeeper works with the residence manager/chef and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, order, and presentation of the residence. The position is for the duration of the diplomat’s assignment to Germany and has a competitive compensation package (30,226 Euros – 45,720 Euros per year).
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all areas of the residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living and dining areas, kitchen, hallways, and guest rooms.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Change bed linens and towels; make beds daily.
- Launder, iron, and properly store clothing, linens, and other textiles.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and household items; notify residence manager of replenishment needs.
- Assist in preparation and setup for official functions, receptions, and dinners.
- Serve food and beverages as required, ensuring proper etiquette and presentation.
- Clean up after events, including washing dishes, glassware, and silverware.
- Run errands as directed, such as shopping for household supplies.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in housekeeping or similar service-oriented positions, preferably in a diplomatic, hospitality, or high-standard private residence setting.
- Working knowledge of English and/or German Language.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion at all times.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and related tasks.
- Trustworthiness, reliability, and a professional demeanor.
- Must have a Driver’s license (Class B) for food/supply shopping.
- Must have an unrestricted legal right to live and work in Germany.
