Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- Leading the onboard IT team
- Responsibility for the efficient and professional operation of all IT networks and systems on board, including the internet and onboard portal, multimedia platforms, the IT component of the V-Sat system, servers, databases, the network, hardware, and accessories
- Independent maintenance, servicing, and repair of all IT components on board
- Administration of the Microsoft-based IT infrastructure, including ship communications (SatComm – TV (MS1+MS2 only) / data / internet) and the virtualization environment (ESX Farm)
- In-ship IT support services; assisting all departments (Hotel and Deck & Engine) in case of uncertainties
- Troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues and outages
- Setup, dismantling, and operation of check-in stations during passenger changes
- Contract duration for your first assignment: 4 months, with the possibility of subsequent contracts
Your Course & Your Talents
What you bring to the table:
- Qualified training in the IT field with at least 2 years of professional experience, preferably on a cruise ship.
- Business acumen, ability to work within a budget, and the ability to present and analyze financial targets
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
- Strong commitment to customer service
- Assertiveness, flexibility, and organizational skills
- Confident and professional demeanor, good manners
