for Grömitzer Freizeit und Tourismus GmbH
Grömitzer Freizeit und Tourismus GmbH is looking for a full-time Managing Director (m/f/d) as of October 1, 2025.
Grömitzer Freitzeit und Tourismus GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the municipality of Grömitz. The purpose of the company is to provide tourist services for the municipality. The GmbH currently owns three catering establishments and the Dünenwelten, which is currently under construction.
The Dünenwelten are an integral part of the newly developed “Dünenpark” area, where commercial units, restaurants, the DLRG main rescue station, a hostel as well as outdoor and play areas are located. On the first floor of Dünenwelten there is an indoor play area for the whole family with children from the age of 1, a bowling alley with four lanes and a restaurant. A large, multifunctional event hall is located on the upper floor of the Dünenwelten.
The existing and established restaurants are located directly on the pier forecourt (Ostseelounge, Klabautermann, Strandspeiserei).
Do you have specialist knowledge in the areas of finance, human resources, catering, conference and event planning and several years of management experience? Then we look forward to receiving your application!

Benefits
Your tasks will include
- Design and realignment of Grömitzer Freizeit und Tourismus GmbH.
- Strategic planning and implementation: Responsibility for strategic and operational decisions in close coordination and cooperation with the shareholders of municipal bodies.
- Establishment and further development: Further development of the existing gastronomy offer and establishment of the Dünenwelten with gastronomy, bowling alleys, children’s play world and event areas from opening in 2026.
- Operational responsibility: Management of all business areas such as finance, HR, product development, IT/technology and marketing.
- Visionary development: Development and implementation of innovative concepts for sustainable corporate development.
- Representation: Representing the company to partners, customers and committees.
- Personnel management and recruitment: Management of approx. 50 employees, acquisition and recruitment, motivating and appreciative leadership.
- Business management: Key figure-driven management, merchandise management system.
What you bring with you:
We are looking for a leader who has an entrepreneurial mindset, is innovative and enjoys helping to shape the company’s development.
- completed training/studies or several years of professional experience that corresponds to the qualifications of the advertised position,
- Specialist knowledge in one or more core areas such as finance, human resources, catering, conference and event planning,
- a high degree of service orientation, reliability, organizational strength,
- several years of management experience,
- Experience in the use of common software programs and cash register systems.
