About TU Darmstadt
TU Darmstadt stands for excellent and relevant science. We play a decisive role in shaping profound global change processes—from the energy transition to artificial intelligence—through outstanding research and forward-looking degree programs. We focus our cutting-edge research in three fields: Energy and Environment, Information and Intelligence, and Matter and Materials. As a university firmly rooted in the Frankfurt-Rhine-Main metropolitan region and with a strong international character, we are committed to European values and European integration.
About Our Division
For nearly 100 years, the Technical University (TU) of Darmstadt has been the proud owner of a guesthouse and seminar center in Hirschegg in the Kleinwalsertal valley. Since then, it has served as a conference and meeting place for academic groups—particularly from TU Darmstadt, but also from other universities, sports and youth groups, and others associated with TU Darmstadt.
Effective November 1, 2027, we are seeking up to two individuals to serve as the new house managers (f/m/d) who will continue to run the Darmstadt House with an entrepreneurial spirit, warm hospitality, and organizational skills. A one-month handover period with the current house management is planned; an operator’s apartment is available on the premises.
The Darmstädter Haus:
The Darmstädter Haus is located in Hirschegg in the Kleinwalsertal valley at an elevation of approximately 1,200 meters in a scenic setting. It features 26 rooms with a total of about 65 beds (62 standard beds) as well as three seminar rooms and is primarily used by university groups, seminar groups, and individual guests. The facility is currently open about eight to nine months a year (winter and summer seasons) and is regularly fully booked thanks to an established guest base, particularly from TU Darmstadt.
