Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- In this role, you’ll be independently responsible for managing up to three outlets in the galley and will report to the Executive Sous Chef.
- You’ll oversee the preparation of all daily dishes and menus, as well as their visual presentation.
- For special occasions, such as themed evenings, you’ll create appropriate culinary experiences.
- You’ll provide both technical and disciplinary leadership to your team of demis and chefs de partie, fostering an open culture of feedback and harmonious teamwork.
- Contract duration for your first assignment: 4 months, with the possibility of subsequent contracts
- Your promotion will be based on your availability in relation to the on-board work schedule and is generally possible year-round.
Your Course & Your Talents
What you bring to the table:
- Completed training as a chef (w⁠/⁠m⁠/⁠d) and initial professional experience in a leadership role in upscale dining
- Excellent expertise in the culinary field and food science, which you’re eager to share with your team.
- You are reliable and resilient, and you’re comfortable thinking outside the box.
- A natural leader with the ability to guide and motivate a team both professionally and in terms of discipline
- A well-groomed appearance and excellent manners
- Very good command of German and English
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
